Comments
An inch or two of rimed new snow from 11-16, 17 caps a very stout and slick rime/rain-crust from 11-12-21. The crust is very slippery and travel even in moderately steep terrain is a bit challenging. For steeper mountain objectives people should bring ice-ax and crampons. In some areas, winds scoured the shallow fresh snow right off the slick rime-crust.
Very thin snow conditions, but the existing snow is pretty hard and sticking around with the current cold temperatures.
