Comments
Uncharacteristic wet slides were observed on NW faces on the Wellsville Range. The last storm did not bond well to the existing snowpack on NE-NW bare aspects (in the trees it was better), allowing 8" -12" deep sloughs to break loose and slide during the warming of the day. This one started at the warm rock band below the ridge. Many other wet slides were observed below the NW Couloirs off Wellsville Cone, also starting at the rock bands. Apologies for the lousy photo.
