While cresting Cardiff Peak, I noticed an avalanche below the cliffbands along the S Ridge... maybe a hundred or so feet above Suicide Chute? It looked to be anywhere between 8"-12" and a couple hundred feet wide. It failed right where the snow met rock and looked to propagate beneath the cliff band. Hard to say from where I was standing but likely a wind slab failing on the hard surface below. No photos.
