Comments
Walked up to the East Pass area to see what the wind loading was looking like. Shortly after gaining a view of the area we remotely triggered this slide (first photo, crown in top right).
SS-D1.5-R1-I-ASr. It was about 175ft wide and ran for about 600ft.
Walking on the ridge line there where multiple natural avalanches from cornice fall. Cornices where developing rapidly and falling naturally.
As the forecast predicted the avalanche danger on this slopes seemed to move into high.
Second photo, one of many natural slides.
Third photo, cornices forming and snow transport.
