There was a lot of collapsing and cracking, All failing on the weak layer about a foot and a half down. We stuck to low angle slopes on west and northwest aspects. Im mid to upper elevations. The more northern the aspect, the more cracking we saw. The elevation didn't seem to affect things much. The cracks propagated out from directly beneath my skis to more than 50 feet out in either direction at times. It feels pretty spooky out there.
