Inversion is continuing to weaken the snow surface at lower elevations. There is abundant surface hoar and near surface facets below today’s AM cloud line which was near 7800’. There is some surface wind damage from Thursdays’s “storm” above about 8500’. But it did seem to leave about 1-inch of new snow (it was hard to tell, but the old skin track was covered just a little).
