East facing aspects in the woods still had shallow snowpack below 8,000ft.
Didn't venture above 8k ft.
4-6in of fresh / low density snow
1in of a very solid layer on the ground
There was a slight surface hoar that I'll keep my eye on (seen more dramatically on the sign post in the picture below, but it was fairly consistent across the snow surface as well).
