We have now added the slab on top of our very fragile snowpack. Snowpit results showing full propagation with easy taps and failing at an NSF layer just below the 30 cms of new snow. It's game on in the backcountry and one must be very cautious with how and where they travel. Now is a great time to get out, dig a snow pit, and visually see what strong snow over weak snow looks like.
