Toured around the North side of Beaver mountain Saturday. Dug a quick pit at around 8,400 ft. Found three distinct crust layers surrounded by about 5 cm of facets on either side. Snow depth around 55 cm. Surface hoar is developing on all sunny aspects above about 8,000 ft.
