Comments
Went up to South Monitor, hopping for creamy settled snow and found some. The starting zone had been loaded in during the wind event and is 3 feet plus deep of dense settled snow with minimal layering, the density inversion has settled out and things seemed quite stable. The only activity noted was wet activity on the SE facing. There were a few things to pay attention to for later, the mid slope roll over was scoured and contains a shallow snowpack, thus it is prone to facet out at a faster rate than the deeper snow pack at the top, not a big deal now but once it gets a load it would be a good trigger point for a slide. Some of the S, SW facing slopes have been stripped and melted out to the dirt.
photos: wet activity on the SE facing and a photo of Scott's with snow on the N and dirt on the S
