Observer Name
Ament, Palmeri
Region
Moab
Location Name or Route
Lower Pinto Glades and Laurel Meadow
Comments
Not a bad way to celebrate Veteran's Day! Shaded areas of lower Pinto Glades had about 7 inches of light, dry new snow on top of a consolidated 5 inches from the October storm.
Laurel Meadow was a bit thinner, maybe 9-10" total depth, but no faceplants or broken teeth to be reported.
Two other intrepid souls, one on skis and one on board, laid tracks on the Laurel Highway too.
Road was icy, snowpacked, and rutted as expected.
This base layer will likely shrink and become our future basal facets, but it's great just to have some precip. Do your snow dances, people!
