Comments
Went to have a look at S Monitor Bowl today, no sluffing was noted even in steep terrain, and skiing cautiously was the theme of the day. The new snow had settled out just enough to allow you to stay off dirt and rocks if you didn't get too aggressive. Looks like a good start if we can keep the storms rolling in. Not much wind lead to a fairly equal distribution of the new snow. Starting and exiting at lower elevations is a bit of work with patience required.
photos: snow depth, and snow flurries that continued throughout the day.
I would think the hazard is low unless you find a rouge wind pocket up high. Ground hazard are the main worry right now.
