Snow Characteristics
Snow Characteristics Comments
Very few slopes have escaped the effects of warm temps and strong sunshine. North facing above 9000 feet has good dry powder.
Comments
The snowpack is strong, and stable below the Feb 7th crust which is buried about a foot deep. Dry powder on north facing mid and upper elevation slopes is faceting and remains loose and weak.
Despite warm air temps, the snow remains cold due to heat loss to the clear skies.
