Comments
Travel was up Willow Heights for runs in South Monitor, West Monitor and No Name Bowl. The whole face of West Monitor had avalanched fairly large during the weekend storm and also appeared to avalanche this morning in the new snow from last night. South Monitor also had evidence of avalanching during the weekend storm, as well as No Name. The new light density snow was sluffing and gouging down into the weekends storm snow as well. The sluffs were manageable and not running super fast but in technical terrain might prove problematic. The snow pack was quite stable except for the exception of sluffing. The rime crust is not a factor on the PC Ridgeline so there was no icy bed surface in the terrain covered. Sluffing will probably continue tomorrow with a cold clear night.
