Comments
We traveled up Gobblers Knob via Circle All/Baker Pass. Were intrigued by some softer snow at the top of White Snake and dug a pit. We expected/hoped the top crust would prevent activation of buried weaknesses, but that was not the case. We popped the Thursday-Friday storm slab at ECT14 with Q1 and a good bit of energy. At ECT28 also got a 10cm, 1 finger slab between the above slab and the softer Sunday-Monday storm snow. Also Q1. The two weak layers were 50 and 60cm deep, respectively.
We chose a lower angle objective into Butler Basin.
