Comments
I know it's hardly worth mentioning, but I found three different, very small, glide avalanches in the Salt Lake foothills just behind the University of Utah Hospital and just above the base of the trail to Van Cott Peak, which is a popular hiking trail. The debris crossed the trail. The snow was so shallow they probably wouldn't have hurt anyone unless they caught someone in a terrain trap. They all appeared fresh and probably occurred today with the warm temperatures and light drizzle falling. I live nearby and was taking a walk with my wife when I noticed them. I did not see any others on our walk along the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. So there you have it--my avalanche fix for the day.
