Snow Characteristics Comments
Excellent riding conditions were found on most aspects. Wide spread surface hoar with the cold clear nights made for great loud turns. Most NW-NE aspects above 8k had 130-145cm of snow. Went looking for facets on the ground in 3 different pits. All pits had basal facets but none were reactive. The facet layer has started to round and bind together, making it 4F hand hardness. As the storm rolled in on 12/29, it brought very low density snow and moderate ridge top winds, by mid morning we had 2-3 inch wind slabs that would crack underfoot.

Trend
Decreasing Danger
I would expect generally safe conditions on most aspects. I would continue to look for preserved surface hoar and be conscious of wind drifted slopes.
