Headed up Broads Fork today not sure of what I was going to find, as soon as I entered the upper basin it was clear that there was a large avalanche cycle during the storm. The largest avalanche was right down the middle of Bonkers from way high up, probably ran close to 2000ft vertical leaving chunks of debris scattered all over the slope, and running to within a couple hundred feet short of the end of the apron. There was also a large avalanche that came out of the couloir that is N facing in the top but the apron is SE facing on skiers left side of Bonkers toward the bottom, this slide snapped a few trees when it ran. There was also what I’m calling a glide avalanche in the same spot as I reported one a week ago off the rock slabs above Bonkers, this one was fresh with no new snow on the debris. Another slide was noted on the Diving Board which looked like storm snow only. No evidence of the upper high peaks avalanching including, Dromedary, O’Sullivan the SLC Twins or the Blue Ice. I think at this point in time the chance remotely triggering an avalanche is low, I think you need to be on the slope and hit a weak spot in the slab. I’m still trying to avoid steep N facing lines that had old snow and have not avalanched.
