Problem #1 Comments
On many slopes, there is no sugary or faceted Halloween snow under the stout slab from the Thanksgiving Storm, but it's certainly there in the meadows and on shady upper elevation slopes in Steep Hollow. It's getting to the point where you have to dig down a couple feet to see if the bottom layer is loose and sugary. Dangerous avalanches are possible where this exists. Where it doesn't, avalanches are unlikely and conditions are much safer currently.
