Red Flags Comments
Winds were a bit less then expected and allowed the snow surface to warm quite a bit on the south faces. E and even southeast to above 9000' were still good skiing upon our descent at 3pm but as soon as you hit South and southwest it was quite poor quality skiing
Avalanche Problem #1
Problem
Persistent Weak Layer
Problem #1 Comments
Snowpack structure is poor in pit we dug at 9000' NE facing. No cracking, collapsing, or evidence of it today aside from CT and ECT results. CT 20 SP, ECT 25 SP
Avalanche Problem #2
Trend
Decreasing Danger
Problem #2 Comments
We did not find much in the way for recent or old wind deposited snow in this area today, up to 9400'. The warming could possibly be considered problem 2 however we saw no loose wet until down at 7000 feet or so headed down canyon

Comments
The snowpit we dug was quite simple. Hs 100 cm with the top 70 being our newly received snow. Right side up from F increasing to 1F - From 30 cm to the ground were fist hardness well developed facets that were 2mm in size. No crusts, or any other funkiness seen. One of the more simple pits I've dug in a while.
