Went to Eddies High today, a steep E facing slope on the Backside at Alta, last time I skied this slope pre-season was a long time ago and my partner took a nasty ride in a avalanche we triggered on the ascent. No avalanches today, the new light density snow Wasn’t nearly enough of a load to change things much but it did add another layer to our house of cards snowpack. The main activity today was fast and long running sluffs in steeper terrain. Still waiting for a proper load to test our weak snowpack.
