Weather

Precipitation
Light Snowfall
Weather Comments
Much warmer than expected. But the 8-ish inches of denser snow that had fallen as a result was appreciated for a nice refresh. We were in relatively sheltered terrain so no sightings of leviathan cornices.

Snow Characteristics Comments
on 38 degree slopes we had some sluffs that indicated a poor bond to the base surfaces on the aspects that had more of a solid crust below the new snow (SE/S/SW). Seemed like a better bond of the new snow to the old on the north aspects (main soldier line that is a pretty good frequent flier in unstable conditions) since we didn't have sluffs there.
