Comments
I found pockety areas with shallow snow and poor snow structure on the west side of the south ridge of Beaver Mt. in Franklin Basin. Extensive wind drifting from south winds occurred this weekend creating dangerous conditions on some upper and mid elevation slopes, but despite pockets of weakness, the snow was apparently stable on both sides of the Beaver Mt's South Ridge.
Remember that the Beaver Backside is the backcountry.
My extended column test showed propegation in a failure in a layer of weak sugary or faceted snow from December. ECTP 21
not super clean, as the entire thick layer is super weak
