Snow Characteristics Comments
Soft settled creamy snow on a spongy, reboundable base. Excellent turning conditions with just a slight wind pat on exposed slopes in the alpine. Surface snow is faceting, providing great skiing now, but is quite weak and could be a potential problem with a warm, wet storm in store for the weekend.
Red Flags
Red Flags Comments
Lots of old crowns and decent piles of debris from the last big storm cycle. Snow, wind, and time have filled in a lot of crowns, but you get the sense the drainage experienced a widespread natural avy cycle.

Problem #1 Comments
Old news, but impressive none-the-less.... a large piece of snow in upper Gad Valley triggered with avalanche reduction efforts. Clearly illustrates just how well connected this slab was.
