Snow Characteristics Comments
A variety of crusts out there: wind, rime, fog, sun, soft slab, hard slab. Still nice cold dry turning in the sheltered shady slopes and the surface hoar is skiable on the soft slab that is breaking down. Did not see the South slopes soften today.

Red Flags Comments
Photos of wind slab that most likely slid naturally from cornice failures a week ago along the Skyline ridges. There is an inch of new snow on the debris. Slabs did not want to move during the past three days of skiing.

Problem #1 Comments
I have dug pits at 6,7,8K ft the past few days in the Ogden Mts. and found no instability. There is a bunch of surface hoar forming in the past few days (nights) that will make things interesting with any new snow unless it gets blown away or the new snow comes in warm.
