Had a thought to ski into Dry Creek from the AF/LCC ridgeline but south facing terrain moon-raked. Other areas were inexplicably protected and offered good conditions in the alpine.
At mid and lower elevations, snow surfaces starting to weaken.

Plenty of wind drifted snow from the past few days but all were welded in. A few natural size 1-1.5 wind pockets noted below Pfeifferhorn and No Name Baldy from a couple days ago. Major contributor to the Airplane Pk naturals from NY Eve.

As noted. Must be in high alpine, thin, rocky steep terrain or repeater terrain that's been wind drifted recently. Trending toward low in these departments.
