Comments
Shallow wind slabs, that are now hardening were evident above 8000'. These were mostly shallow (and covered) but total release would only be about 10-15 cm so was not a primary concern in the areas I observed. NS on top of these wind layers had collected some hoar frost of about 3mm, but the sun by the end of the day had started to break them down.
Dug a pit (more info in attachment) where it was technically a CTN, but with a little more force I got an SP at 75cm, failing on some very small faceted grains. Appears this would be very hard to trigger, but with a large load such as cornice it may go, but who knows.
