Cold and windy. The strong winds started at about 7800' just past the weather station where it starts to open up. Lots of snow blowing onto a NW facing slope that I have been skiing.

Snow Characteristics Comments
Mostly good powder skiing in the sheltered terrain. I could feel some crust underneath in weird spots here and there. I did a quick hand shear test at 7800' NE facing and the new snow had not bonded well and sheared off easily
