I was surprised not to find significant facets near the ground in this location.
The consistency of storms since Thanksgiving has given us great riding conditions in the upper elevations. Coverage is getting better. I am still leery of the persistent weak layer that exists in upper elevation northerly slopes created by the old faceted snow from pre Thanksgiving storms.
