Forecast for the Skyline Area Mountains

Friday morning, March 2, 2018
The avalanche danger remains CONSIDERABLE on steep slopes that face northwest, and especially north and east. Wind drifted snow from the south landing on these north through east facing slopes will increase the avalanche danger by adding weight on top of the buried weak snow from earlier in the winter. Continue to avoid being on or below the steep slopes mentioned and you can travel and recreate safely in the mountains.
