Poor Snowpack Structure
Red Flags Comments
Wind slabs seem to have settled out. Main problem remains persistent slabs. Have dug almost 10 test pits in the last 3 days, and all show the same poor structure, with easy propagation with ECT tests. Some pits starting to show some rounding and strengthening of the weak underlying facets, but not putting too much weight in that yet. Hope for the future.

Persistent Weak Layer
Problem #1 Comments

This season is a good example of why these weak layers earn their name. I have noticed only a slight change in sensitivity in the last week. Still worth giving steep north through northeast facing slopes time.
