What a difference a day can make. There's a rime crust layer all the way up. Well at least to 10200 which is as high as I went today. Settled snow sits around 8 inches. It green housed most of the day but cleared up near the end.

I made the mistake of hitting an open run first and it felt like water skiing, I know there's less than a foot of snow here now settled, but it felt slaby and dangerous. I was able to get a few small sluffs which ran more like a wet slides. I didn't like it at all and hid in the steep tight north facing trees the rest of the day. The trees took the brunt of the moisture so it was not so bad. Anyway, we now have another crust layer to watch.
