Forecast for the Skyline Area Mountains

The avalanche danger is MODERATE today. Human triggered avalanches are still possible on upper elevation northwest through east facing steep slopes. Buried weak facted (sugary) snow from earlier in the season has created an unstable snowpack.

Weather and Snow

Riding conditions are good with nice powder in places where it's deep enough. However, snow cover is very shallow still in most locations. Riding snowmachines off of roads is risky at best. The snowpack is punchy and barely supportable. You punch through to the ground with your boots in most places.
