Snow Characteristics Comments
Persistent Slab continues to haunt upper elevations on all aspects. Mid elevations on Northerly slopes remain suspect. Continuing trend of low probability high consequence. The pockets of terrain holding optimal snow (more coverage, less rocks) with angles below 30 degrees are highly trafficked. Observed ski tracks in areas of suspect. Steeper slope angles and Southerly high elevation aspects that are holding faceted snow below the persistent slab are seeing high traffic. Note buried facets on 10,200ft Southwest aspect Patsy Marly Ridgeline were observed.
