Went and had a look at both West and South Monitor today, the main theme of the day was long running sluffs in the steeper terrain. Set some sluffs off in West Monitor that ran all the way to the bottom of the bowl but they were easily managed with ski cuts, and keeping an eye on your back while skiing. the sluffs were not running super fast and the light density snow was not packing much of a punch. Kinda the same deal in South Monitor but the sluffs weren't running as far because the slope is not as consistently steep as West Monitor. Did not note any slab formation or wind loaded pockets in either bowl or any sort of soft slab activity. The south facing was still perfect powder on our exit at 3:00 and the sun never came out. The new snow seemed to bond well on the old surface the sluffing was only in the new snow in my location.

If we just receive more light density snow with out much wind tonight I would stick to moderate, If we get increased wind speeds with the next round of snow considerable might be appropriate.
