Great skiing early on East and South Aspects. Started skiing around 11 on SE aspect. Enough cream to support your skies above the deadly rain crust from last week.

Still quick moving Loose Dry Snow avalanches. These are becoming easier to trigger on NNE-NW aspects as the snow 5 in of new snow starts to facet.

Comments

No photos today. Really just looking forward to the weekend. Checking out current snow surface. Looks like maybe a couple of inches but nothing to write home about. My biggest worry is on NNE - NW aspects the snow from last Friday night has faceted through in most places. This creates a weak layer on a very slick bed surface. I think that with not much snow this weekend no big deal, but maybe with some wind. We could see some action on NE aspects. This could be tricky also hard to predict where the weak layer will survive.
