Snow Characteristics Comments

Surface snow up high was light enough to ski, however; the old snow was damp. Thanks to the medium snow density I stayed clear of the typically wind loaded terrain and instead kept my angles low and stayed clear of open slopes.

Comments

I was able to get the new snow to easily fail on my compression test. A few more taps and the rest of the snow from the previous storm failed. The layers both had too much friction to slide off the block.
