Avalanche Problem #1
Problem
Wet Snow
Problem #1 Comments

Not much liking the warm conditions and saturated snow at low elevations. As overnight temperatures hover above freezing in mountain canyons, wet slabs are increasingly possible at low elevations on slopes with buried persistent weak layers.

Avalanche Problem #2
Problem
Wet Snow
Problem #2 Comments

The snow is soft and slushy, and there were lots of roller balls and pinwheels today.

The buried surface hoar layer was obvious in my pit wall. It failed cleanly and with propagation.
