Forecast for the Skyline Area Mountains

Anticipate the new snow to be sensitive if we actually get any significant amount from this large mess of a storm. Any new snow will be sensitive during periods of rapid snowfall. Avalanches won't be huge but perhaps large enough to knock a person over. Use small steep test slopes to get a feel of how the new snow is reacting before getting into more serious terrain.

Weather and Snow

We got skunked on Monday with really no measurable new snow as of 10pm Monday night. The flow shifted more southeasterly which is not a good direction for producing snow in the usual places along the Skyline. There has been a few inches of measurable new snow overnight.
