This part of the range only received about a foot of snow over the past week relative to the 2-3' that fell in the northern end. The new snow was a mixture of graupel and recrystallized snow. There was small surface hoar as well.

we saw wet activity on south facing slopes at low elevation. Trees above 8400' were coated with a thick rime.
