Skied a couple runs on SE facing Cardiff Bowl and East Hellgate in the morning which consisted of dense creamy snow on a frozen bed surface, low angle worked best for the S facing. After the S got damp headed into Cardiff Fork, there was quite a bit of wind damage in the upper bowls, wind rolls could be seen in Cardiac Bowl, LSB, and the bottom portion of Cardiac Ridge, on the other side of the drainage the W facing aspects were wind scoured, some like Holy Toledo had raised tracks sticking out. The wind picked up quite a bit in the afternoon and got down low in the drainages. I'm thinking allot of the wind exposed high alpine will have wind crust or wind damage in the AM, and the S aspects will be crusted. The new snow seemed to bond well to the old bed surfaces, no cracking, collapsing or much sluffing noted. The continued winds were the only red flags today, looked like LSB NE facing and Cardiac Bowl were both receiving a good batch of wind loading in the afternoon. Once down to the mine the snow was damp and suction cup like which made the exit out to the BCC road slow.
