Surprisingly good, soft, dense, near-surface faceted snow on the straight north facing slopes in wind sheltered areas. You can still find places that are not completely tracked up, such as the north-facing headwall of Silver Fork with surprisingly few tracks. But all the other aspects and elevations are quite character-building with various kinds of melt-freeze crusts on all the aspects that got even a little sun. Boy, do we need more snow.

The urban backcountry of Little Cottonwood Canyon. The snow has been well-loved since the last storm.

These are what I call embossed tracks. First, the skier or boarder made the track, second, the wind and/or sun removed the snow. Where the track was compacted, it now sticks up above the snow surface instead of being a depression in the snow surface.
