Temperature inversion. Eden was 8 degrees when we started and it was much warmer at 8500 ft.

There was a wide variety of surface conditions. The best skiing was on N-NNE shady aspects in dense settled powder. Lower elevations were covered with surface hoar and were also nice to ski. S-E aspects are developing a supportable crust which should be pleasant to ski.

ECTN 28 Q3 HS greater than 220 cm. We noticed 3 graupel layers 20, 46 and 58 cm below the surface. Shovel shear test produced Q1 shears at each layer. Photo of graupel from layer 20 cm below surface.
1- Old crowns SE face Ben Lomond.
2- Wet sluff in rock band.
3- Roller balls.
