The overall avalanche danger is MODERATE. I would still use caution if you're thinking about getting into the big bowls. Human triggered avalanches are possible today.

Saturday was a real nice day in the mountains with mostly clear skies and mild ridgetop temperatures with light west northwest wind. Temperatures dipped into the low 20s overnight and the wind speeds bumped ever so slightly. You'll find great riding conditions on the shady slopes with sun crusts on the sunnier slopes.
No avalanche activity was reported from Saturday. This doesn't mean that none occurred, just we didn't hear of any.
Even though things are stabilizing, I still know a number of slopes that I wouldn't get onto right now. There's still a chance you could trigger an avalanche that breaks into deep weak layers. Here's all the factors you'll need to find an avalanche today:
With a warming trend through the week we'll want to pay attention to wet avalanche activity. I don't think it will play a huge roll today but remember with warming, the snow becomes unstable when it gets real damp during the day and then freezes and becomes stable overnight.
It looks like another nice day today with temperatures again into the low to mid 30s and west northwest winds slightly higher in speed than Saturday. Very mild weather will continue into mid week with warmer temperatures each day and fairly light wind. No significant storms are on the horizon at this point.
We will publish full detailed advisories Saturday and Sunday mornings by 7am. We will also be publishing basic avalanche danger ratings & info during the week.
