Travel was up USA Bowl, out to No Name Bowl with a stop in Radar Love Bowl on the way back. Headed out to No Name to see if we liked the looks of it, hasn't been skied in a while and has been through multiple avalanche cycles this year, Knocked a few sluffs down it seeing how the new snow was sluffing so easy on steeper slopes, sluffs where running fairly fast and entraining some snow in the steeper terrain but not packing much of a punch because of the light density. After some pole probing and a quick conversation we decided to back off and let it sit and settle for a bit more time, {only fools rush in}. Skied a few runs in Radar love, got some sluffing on the steep SE facing roll over at the bottom which had a slick melt freeze crust under the new snow but nothing of consequence. No cracking or collapsing experienced today, 8 inches of light density snow did not add much weight to the snow-pack and there was no wind to slab things up until late in the day.

Photos: sluffing initiated in No Name Bowl, natural sluffs and a couple soft slabs in Scotts and Radar Love, sluffs we released while skiing the steep SE facing roll-over in Radar Love, sluffing in West Monitor.

Not sure what the E wind is going to do tonight , but in my experience the E wind never does anything good. Probably go with moderate in wind sheltered mid elevation terrain, just not enough new snow to change things much, maybe stick with considerable in the high wind exposed steep alpine.
