Travel today was up Willow Heights, Wills Hill, sub ridge between West and South Monitor with a exit out Willow. the main attraction of the day was the strong prefrontal winds from the S-SW, it was transporting allot of snow onto the N, NE and E facing terrain on the PC Ridgeline, and scouring the high S facing. The wind was also leaving a wind crust on the W facing such as Wills Hill, and also the mid elevation S and SW facing. Cracking was common on the ridge line but it seemed fairly localized, no collapsing was noted. The snow pack has settled out quite a bit in the last few days due to warm temperatures and settlement of the slab, in the terrain covered the density inversion has been compacted and has basically disappeared, but that doesn't mean the weak layer is gone, just more compacted and not so in your face when breaking trail or skiing.
Photos: A different view of the West Monitor slide, the whole deal went to the dirt and will be a good candidate for a repeater with todays new snow and a period of high pressure to follow, thin snow pack and clear cold nights will enhance the faceting process dramatically, wind loading and filtered sun creating rainbows

With the wind loading today and more snow in the forecast considerable still seems like the call.
