Problem #1 Comments

A slab is gradually growing and getting harder on top of very weak faceted snow that is widespread at upper and mid elevations across the zone.

Problem
Wind Drifted Snow
Trend
Increasing Danger
Problem #2 Comments

Drifted slopes are the most suspect, and I'm not willing to venture into steep wind exposed terrain right now. Wind slab avalanches initiating in the upper layers could step into old faceted snow and/or the ground.
