The snow in the Dog Leg Trees Area is quite weak throughout. An example of a "fist hard snowpack". Boot (ski pole) penetration to the ground in most areas. Tails of skis were sinking into sugary facets on each turn. At least there's enough snow to keep you off the rocks up high.
