Problem #1 Comments
Freshly formed and recently buried wind slabs of 1F to P hardness were scattered about on Hidden Lakes Headwall. Bonding of these were good initially at the lower elevations, but as we got higher were poorly bonded. On ENE @8900ft results were: CTM SP x2, ECTP M (13), and PST 50/100 (End), down 25cm on faceted graupel and lower density (4F-) decomposing fragmented grains from 1/30. These slabs seemed quite connected and thicker higher up towards the top of the headwall, and we so didn't venture above 8900ft.
If we get on the highest end of forecast amounts upper elevations may rise to Considerable by tomorrow AM.
