Nice day to be up in the high country. Good visibility, mild but not too warm.

Heavy dust-on-crust. The heavy new snow helped keep you off the weekend rime crust, but you could still feel it in most places. Low angled and south facing slopes were pretty good. Supportable "ride anywhere" conditions in the Tony Grove Area.

Noted some cracking in drifted terrain. New snow above the 1-24 rime crust, usually less than 6 inches deep, but deeper cracking also in isolated deeper drifts.

We found mostly stable snow conditions, with the exception of a few very small shallow wind slabs that would crack under our weight in exposed terrain..
